Jason's Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
We were visiting the island and this was our first stop, it was close to our B&B (Pam's Pelican highly recommended it) and the service was great! A little nice place, nothing fancy, but efficient. The food was good, I recommend the Crab cakes and hush puppies (they have small pieces of onion and it's delicious)! We were not big fans of the Garlic shrimp, we felt it needed some seasoning, the drinks were cold. Overall a Great place and really nice experience! I recommend it
An absolute favorite every time we visit Ocracoke, and usually our first stop after getting off the ferry. It is clean, the staff are friendly and professional, the food is amazing (hot, fresh, etc.) and the prices are good. Be aware of their schedule, and they do get busy at times.
Good food at fair prices. Pizza was good. Crab cakes were ok, not top notch, but not bad. Service and staff were awesome!
Found ourselves craving fresh seafood and decided to grab lunch at Jason’s. Despite the place being quite busy, we were seated within about five minutes—a promising start! We ordered a variety of dishes: the cold Italian sub, spicy chicken wings, Greek salad with blackened shrimp, blackened fresh fish sandwich, and blackened shrimp dinner. COLD ITALIAN SUB The cold Italian sub came with chips and was flavorful and satisfying. Wish it had more seasoning and spice, but it was good nonetheless. SPICY CHICKEN WINGS The spicy chicken wings had a nice kick, but weren’t overwhelming. Would’ve been great if they were more flavorful, but they were fried nicely. GREEK SALAD The Greek salad with blackened shrimp was fresh, with perfectly seasoned shrimp that added a great smoky depth. All the ingredients were fresh and crunchy. Feta wasn’t overwhelming, just perfect. FRESH FISH SANDWICH The blackened fresh fish sandwich, also served with chips, was a highlight with its flaky, well-seasoned fish. SHRIMP DINNER The blackened shrimp dinner, which came with garlic bread and cocktail sauce, was another standout—generous portions and bursting with flavor. The garlic bread was delish and went with the shrimp, which was cooked to perfection. Super tender and juicy. Service was fast and friendly, making the experience even better. Overall, Jason’s delivered on both taste and efficiency, and it’s a spot I’d happily return to for a quick and delicious seafood fix!
Food was excellent, service was excellent and people were very friendly. Not as crowded as most places on the island. Definitely a good spot for a relaxed bit.
Jasons was truly a restaurant for locals. The outside was basic but the food was tremendous. Our group got the seafood dishes and they were fresh, well prepared and generous portions. When they said catch off the day, they meant it. Seating room is limited but we didn't have to wait. The server was very friendly and did a bang up job.
for off season ocrakoke perfect. blacken seafood trio good flavor. pot stickers 6 with chili sauce. dill tarter.good horseradish in coctail. not over blackened.. worth it. low celing with loud echo.
Jason’s is a quaint place. I ordered the grilled tuna sandwich and my gf ordered the drum sandwich. The orders come with chips and a pickle. Drinks were separate. The homemade tartar sauce was delicious. Great place for a quick bite after exiting the ferry terminal.
